Go to solution Solved by PhantomChevron,

Pebble is really your best option, there is a ton of stuff you can do with it, and a few interesting apps that lets you control your phone, Galaxy gear is not worth it, but if you could find a LG G watch for under 150 I recommend you take that

Im planning on getting a smart watch but my budget is only $150. I dont know too much about smart watches so i need your help. Whats the best smart watch within my budger? I can make some price adjustments if i think its worth. Also im not a fan of the Pebble so please dont post Pebble

Couple of things: Those things are far from perfect atm. And tbh they are still very expensive and not that great.

Also i think the only smartwatch that fits in your budget apart form the pebble is the sony smartwatch, and that thing is really not that great...

I would wait until there's some better stuff out there.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

What phone do you have?

If iOS: Pebble is your only hope.

If Android 4.2 and under: Pebble is your only hope.

If Andoid 4.3 and above: Pebble is your only hope EXCEPT the LG G Watch, if that's under $150 (not used to CAD, I'm American. The G Watch is $180 USD.)

No. It runs a Samsung only OS and does less than a Pebble.

Pebble has a huge Dev community and much more support.

The thing with the pebble is that i dont really like the low resolution on it compared to the Gear.....and thats its not a touch screen display, what are big factors that separate the two?

The non-touch display with E-Ink and a low resolution is all for the 5+ Day battery life. The display is super low power use. And the display is on 24/7 and can be seen in direct sunlight.

Rather than the Gears not so great battery.

Don't E-Ink displays not use battery at all if they don't change what's on the screen? Pretty cool, IMO, and at this price range the Pebble is definitely the best. However, if it were LG G Watch vs. Galaxy Gear (since you don't like Pebble), then LG G Watch all the way.

Yea. E-Ink only uses power when refreshing the screen.

Plus the Pebble is $99 now. No reason not to buy it.
