I dont really want to get into it, but if you're interested check my thread "Computer Freeze"

Local PC shop with good reviews...

Go in and talk to them and describe the problem.

I did and no one know whats my issue..

Have you tried running on integrated graphics? I just looked through the whole thread and didn't see that mentioned. I'd also suggest downloading a fresh windows .iso and doing a complete format and fresh install with a fresh file directly from windows. And then just run it for a couple of days with JUST 1 stick of ram, the cpu, the motherboard (duh), and 1 hdd / ssd.

Like I said on the post I tried 2 different GPU and its didnt change anything, I changed my ram and the problem was still persisting, I tried with the HDD and its didnt work, I also tried with the SSD its didnt do anything, I formated ALOT, but if you want to help me I dont want to sound rude but I would like we do it in the other thread as its not related to my question and I dont want to swarm this section with troubleshooting

Having read your original thread, trouble might be these:

1: HDD is dying or malfunctioning (try a new or borrowed one for a few days/hours*)

2: Probably a goofed up virus on another partition that is refusing to leave (*don't slave new hdd if it's a virus it might infect this one as well)

3: ram is defective

4:reset bios & do a clean default install of OS & Software (nothing upgraded/new version drivers, everything only from the CD that came with it)

post back if problem still persist..

Details separate people.

If every non-static component is working, then it might be your CPU or motherboard...

Do you have any error logs? (BSODs or failed updates etc?)

I do not

Take it apart and sell them. Build another. Some parts just have issues. Some programs cause freezing too

I might just end up doing that..

1. I have tried without the HDD and its still froze on me

2. ? I downloaded multiple anti-virus program and its didnt find anything and I never download anything suspicious or go at suspicious links

3. tried 2 different sets of ram and problem still persist

4. Already did with my other motherboard and problem still persist

Well since I changed my board.. its can only be the CPU, but the thing is I stress tested it with prime95 for 3 hours and its didnt crash on me

Bad Luck maybe? i guess you need to go & get a whole set of new components including the hard drive :P atleast that'll work!

Okay one last try, I want you to explicitly describe this , this will be annoying as you had to go through it once but bear with me,

What do you mean by freezing?

  • is it spurts of random freeze?
  • freeze then respond later .. (after a minute or so)
  • total lock down of the system ? with monitor on?
  • total lock down of system & monitor turns black?
  • Jittery monitor output
  • Mouse refuses to move along with everyother animations.
  • Mouse refuses to move? (but background video/animation keeps on going )
  • During freeze ,keyboard notification lights wont respond to inputs (caps lock/num lock)
  • you have other peripherals like secondary monitor or an optical drive or a UPS connected .

Copy & paste that in your respose & put a "Yes" or a "No" or "Sometime" next to it

  • is it spurts of random freeze? : No

freeze then respond later .. (after a minute or so) : no

total lock down of the system ? with monitor on? : yes

total lock down of system & monitor turns black? : no

Jittery monitor output : ?

Mouse refuses to move along with everyother animations. : Everything is locked up so yes.

Mouse refuses to move? (but background video/animation keeps on going ) : No

During freeze ,keyboard notification lights wont respond to inputs (caps lock/num lock) : yes, keyboard notification wont light up when the system freezes

you have other peripherals like secondary monitor or an optical drive or a UPS connected . : I have, mouse, keyboard, headsets and audio card that I had for quite a while now.

from that

this might be far fetched , But since everything else failed try these:(it's already a war, lets die trying)

  • Try New/Borrowed peripherals (mice & keyboard) some tmes the shoten the system via USB link
  • Take the Mobo & PSU & HHD out of the case Try using it on the top of the mobo box for a while (reason case shortening)
  • CPU maybe poorly binned or damaged while handling get it replaced or try a borrowed cpu(same) from a firend
  • CPU display out drivers(not GPU) are mismatched install or corrupt (i had this issue with one of my friends PC where i installed hd2500 drivers instead of 3500 he had this freezing issue)
  • Direct X driver install files are corrupted (get from a reliable stable version from a site like majorgeeks or filehippo)
  • audio or video codec is corrupted (get from a reliable stable version from a site like majorgeeks or filehippo or parent site)
  • check & see if the CPU pins are bent or have thermal paste stuck on them , also check if there are any missing pins.

reply afterwards..

  • Take the Mobo & PSU & HHD out of the case Try using it on the top of the mobo box for a while (reason case shortening) : I will try that as soon as I can, I dont really confident, where I live I have a cat and 3 dogs..

  • CPU display out drivers(not GPU) are mismatched install or corrupt (i had this issue with one of my friends PC where i installed hd2500 drivers instead of 3500 he had this freezing issue) : there is no driver for 8.1 for my monitor, but when I was using it on 7 I was still freezing
  • Direct X driver install files are corrupted (get from a reliable stable version from a site like majorgeeks or filehippo) : you think they corrupted every 5 format I did?
  • audio or video codec is corrupted (get from a reliable stable version from a site like majorgeeks or filehippo or parent site) I already updated my audio driver
  • check & see if the CPU pins are bent or have thermal paste stuck on them , also check if there are any missing pins. : already answered that in the current post :P

Wowzie! i guess only thing left to do is if the CPU is under warranty get it replaced from the manufacturer, Seems to me the whole thing is spawning from that ..

Do quote & reply after you've done that.. afterwards if it still happens burn those fuckers down & build a system from ground up. :P

Good luck & have a nice day bro..hope you'll get this thing fixed soon.

any plans on upgrading the CPU or tight on budget right now?

Well, motherboard, case and GPU costed around 750$ and overall when trying to fix the pc 500$, yes I am kinda short on budget right now, but you reminded me to look back at my peripheral stuff and I troubleshooted my audio device just for fun with the windows device thing and its says that its may not work properly with usb 3.0, I had it pluged on 3.0 the entire time, might be the cause?

EDIT: I checked my keyboard and mouse and its says they may not work properly with usb 3.0

keyboard is logitech g710+ and mouse is g600

Could be, You got a point there, the system driver try to reconise the device & start seaching for secondary plugin & when they don't try to tag it along with .. That's it man, USB 3 native drivers from the OS could be causing this issue with the chip, you probably got the bug binned version of the CPU(intel admitted this issue way back), assuming this started happening after you started plugging in the USB3 device if if removing that & doing what you did, do clear the registry before you get in on with the Stress testing  & usual conundrum,

well it's official , time for an upgrade..

suggestion : i5/amd 8core + new mobo+ same ram ..  :} (would be under 500$ price range)

well you only need the mobo , ddr3 is fine i believe unless you think getting a new one is better or you're going for x99 series.
