I'm doing a build and it says to use a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P AMD Socket AM3+ Motherboard
But I was wondering if there were some other options with the same specs and everything. Specs are here

what do you mean by this?  Do you want fm2+ socket? please explain more

you are GETTING it. So i assume you havent bought it. I highly HIGHLY HIGGHHLLLYYYY suggest you get a cheap intel i5 (like the i5 4460) and a nice h97 mobo to go along with that. I'll be a HUGE difference.

Says the person who wants to spend heaps of money on X99 for gaming...

 

8350 will keep up with a lower end i5, it's not that big of a deal, and OP can save some money. It also depends on what's being done with the computer, which wasn't stated. In some things the 8350 will be even better then a locked i5.
