Can the graphics card get hurt or something negative happen to it if I hypothetically had the fan speed on 70%-100% all the time or is it just louder noise but it's physically ok?

Might wear out the bearings more quickly

graphics card will be fine, just fan wont last as long

if your temps are fine idk why would you be running at such high rpm

I don't, I was just wondering.

I don't mind extra noise so if it wouldn't have too much of negative downsides I wouldn't mind doing it.

But if the gpu fan is going to wear out faster it doesn't sound worth it.

I plan on using the computer on and off for 3-5 years.

So hard finding time for gaming when going to school QQ

Fans will be fine, but are there any upsides to running them at high RPMs all the time?

Maybe lower VRM temps? It would keep the card cooler... Maybe find a fan speed that dosnt return reduced temperature any more (100% might be similar to 80% regarding load temps) and create a custom fan profile to hit this speed once it hits gaming temps.

That way your not wasting the fan life Cooling an idling card

Lower temp but if it reduces life length because of fan efficiency going down then it's not worth it.

I already have custom fan profile.

Da fuq is VRM?

And what advantage is lower temps (when temps are already low enough)?

BTW, VRMs regulate the voltage coming in to be within a specific voltage range without too much ripple. You have the same things on your motherboard around the CPU socket (underneath the heatsink)

I didn't say they are low enough or how much my temps were.

I wouldn't mind lowering temps with 5-10 degrees while idle and 10-20 degrees while gaming.

So what am I supposed to do with a/the VRM?

If it's on some auto mode then I shouldn't need to mess with things. I don't see what he/you mean.

Apply better thermal paste or what?

Don't mind the VRMs. They're fine.

Again, what's the point with lowering the temps? What benefit do you get from it? It won't make it perform better (assuming you're not hitting critical temperature)

It's mostly a placebo effect I think. But ca 30 degrees idle and 60 gaming temp wouldn't be too bad :P
