Hello guys, recently I've been benchmarking my pc versus a few of my friends in a different way then normal and I thought hey why not tell the forums maybe they will be interested.

In short this tests your:

Encryption - decryption speed.

Ram speed

Cpu speed and multi threaded performance.

Temperature + heat given off

So allow me to explain - me and my friends found that in the encryption software truecrpyt there is an option to benchmark - this will put your cpu under full load until it completes test within your ram by encrypting and decrypting specific formats e.g twofish serpent aes.

This meant that now we could clearly compare everything as it allows for hyperthreading and overclocking when performing the benchmark.

I dunno, I just thought it would be fun comparing some Cpu's and overclocks and giving you guys something to test.

Please be warned it's a full 100% load until the test complete so if your cpu isn't cooled very well - don't do this.

My speeds on Serpent twofish aes are a mean of 260mb/s

Just thought this would be fun - Have a nice day, Conor

*This isn't a double post I must of typed into the wrong tab before and put it in the gpu section - very sorry to any forum mod reading this

Most peoples CPU's are cooled well if the are performing benchmarks.

How often do you get a cpu to hit 100% load - I use it to test new coolers in builds occasionally now but yeah :P it's good to warn so someone with idk, a stock cooler doesn't burn out a cpu

stock cooler,@ stock clocks, can handle any load with decent temps.

It runs at 100% load for like two seconds, and then it stops. This shouldn't affect anyone.
