Hi guys,

So cause i have not a real idea about building a Computer i wanted to ask you guys for opinions and suggsestions.

Budget: 2000$

What do you need?

Everything expect Headset,Keyboard,Mouse and a Graphics card. And yes I need a Monitor.

What are you going to use it for?

Heavy gaming, heavy Livestreaming and heavy Video Editing.

Do you think X99 is worth otherwise i would go for a Z97 build.

Would love to see some suggsetions.

Btw i got a GTX TITAN as i dont need a new GPU for now.

Nice Greets,

RockiLocky

for that budget a z97 build is way better you would be spending about 1000 dollars on the cpu+mobo

If your software can take advantage of a 6 core cpu then X99 is a good option. If not then stick with Z97.

Buy x99 only if you have 4 grands.

For 2grands,a z97 will prove much better

He has a titan, so that'll save the budget right there.

But they are correct, you don't need an x99 build unless you are going for something that is going to be primarily for rendering, or if you need it to do triple/quad sli (3 or 4 video cards in the same machine) configurations which aren't necessarily advised in the first place, but I digress.

X99 build on 2k with peripherals and monitor? RIght..

he said except peripherals and video card :P

2000$ is pretty viable for an X99 build man especially if you don't want a Video Card in it :)

This is a pretty badass rig for 2000$ lol and if you cut back on the SSDs and the Hard Drives, you can easily add a 5960X to the build too. Ofcourse, you cun run all the storage in RAID 1 for extra performance! :D

but seriously, I advice getting to know what all the parts do and what your needs are. You'll get much more satisfaction out of it, and by the end of it you'll be able to do what I just did, put together an ok random build based on pretty much 0 input but is most likely still respectable....but seriously 90% of parts will have some form of personal preference involved. Do you like the look of the case? Do you want a windowed case? What's your colour scheme going to be? Does your ram match your MOBO? Do I need 8 or 16 GB for what I'm doing? Do I actually need an i7 for my applications? Do I plan to overclock? Do I want to go with an SSD/HDD combo, or am I fine with HDD speed? Or perhaps I want 1 massive SSD?

The list goes on...but as I said, spend some time learning all the stuff, start doing your research now. I did mine all summer, and now I could probably explain to you a good amount of what's important to consider when buying each major part.
