I'm really on a tight budget (£250-300)

 

Currently:

CPU- Intel Celeron CPU G530

GPU- AMD HD 6670

RAM- Dunno what brand but 4gb.

HDD- 500GB

Motherboard- MSI (Dunno what model number) LGA 1155

 

Upgrades that i'm looking to get: 

CPU- Intel Core i3-3240

GPU- AMD Radeon R9 270

 

Is that good? Sorry I'm a computer amateur.

It's going to be a Gaming PC.

yes it is fine But i would strech for an i5

Not sure if that GPU upgrade would run with your current CPU, get the i3 before you get the GPU.
