Hello everyone,

Im looking for an SSD for about 80$. The usual capacity you get for the price is 120Gb. Im planing to install my OS and some games on it.

Any help?

Thx in forward.

Also if you're putting games on it id look into larger sizes like 256GB

If you just install the OS and maybe one or two smaller games, a 128gb Crucial MX100 will do fine. If you plan on putting some larger big name titles on there, which take up a lot more space, the 256gb MX100 is a safer bet IMO.

I going to go against the grain and say, "Find an ssd on sales with good specs instead." The MX100 128gb is nothing special. Very average. The 256 OTOH is a killer deal but that's not in your budget range. There's a ton of good quality 128's out there. Look at the R/W speeds and the IOPs. Check the controllers as well giving the edge to Marvell, Samsung and Intel controllers.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!
