What to choose?

Go to solution Solved by Langdon,

Hmmm any other recommandations? Or should i wait for freesync? (i have a amd card so i cant really use gsync D:)

Yes I would wait. Using your current monitor should work just fine and won't give you any disadvantages.

Should i stick to my 1920x1080 samsung s22d300 or get a new monitor? (preferably a 144hz one)

Budget 250sgd, can strech to 300sgd.

It doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with your current monitor. I guess you could get a second monitor and use both but I don't see why you want another monitor yet.

mainly for the 144hz feature.... Many people say it is like the jump from HDD to SSD so i am tempted...

It's only really useful if you're very into competitive gaming. 144Hz is not necessary for the average gamer.

If you really do want it, the BenQ XL2420TE is recommended by Linus.

I'm not sure on the conversion rate of SGD to USD though.

Something like Gsync isnt needed if your FPS isnt capping the monitor refresh rate right?

G-Sync is more useful when you get frame rate dips and when your frame rate changes a lot. Of course, it isn't needed technically but it does help. I don't think it's a worthwhile purchase right now though since it's quite new and quite expensive.

I believe the monitor you linked is a 60Hz IPS panel monitor. Great colours, don't think it's what you're looking for though.

Edit: Nevermind, it's either TN or VA. Still not what you're looking for.
