Is that even 80 plus rated?

Its fully modular, and cant run off your house plugs, since its rated at more than them, overkill or what?

http://www.legitreviews.com/article/436/1/

Its got a 1800W rating on the 12V rail.. with 150A load.. Thats a gold rating? :o   0.9x2000 = 1800

You could also get something like this.

I know it is a server PSU, so I don't know it is acceptable as overkill.

Jesus that cable management.

The first time I saw it I thought "maybe it was like that because she was about to remove it?", then I thought "but why would she connect everything back up?" . . . no idea, just must be messy.

They are the best company ever by calling it 1500 then. Eg corsair makes a cx600 with 80+ bronze so efficiently about 80% so the true name should be cx480 something around that. Good guy evga.

Wattage is always measured based on the output DC current, not the input AC. Assuming the manufacturer is talking about continuous power, it should be able to supply the amount it's labeled as. Going over is also pretty common with any power supply that of decent quality too. It's just that they set the protection systems to be slightly above the rated specs, so people don't accidentally trip them by running it at high load levels.
