MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770

Speedbird

Hi

It appears that the cheapest 770 around here is the MSI Twin Frozr. I want to use it for my next build, and I have a few questions. Is the card good? What would be the temperatures? Would there be any issues if I used the stock NVIDIA drivers?

Thanks.

MSI provides drivers on their website, and I've heard that they have some tweaks in them.

Yeah but NVIDIA drivers are still recommended, you get the latest fixes, performance improvements and stability improvements

Typical MSi GTX 770 temperatures @ 20°C ambient in a HAF X

Idle : 27-28°C

Full load : 80-81°C

You can use MSI afterburner to create a custom fan profile.  That way it is possible to keep the temperature below 60°C on full load, but of course it'll be loud then.

It's not too bad of a card. Drivers from Nvidia seem to work the best (at least for me).
