Firstly just let me say I'm sorry  for my sheer lack of compatance.

And here's my problem. I've been trying to figure out how to open Teamspeak 3 of all things.

After installing it I got this folder...

And now. Please tell me what file I have to open and how do I open it.

I feel like a complete idiot at this point.

Oh this is my first time using linux, if you didn't catch that.

Its a .deb right? if so just double click it then it will open the Ubuntu Software Center and then you can press the Install button. After you press install it will ask for your system password.

Ah, TS only provides a .run file. You can try this: howtoubuntu.org/how-to-execute-a-run-or-bin-file-in-ubuntu

or if you want to do it without terminal:

1. Right click on the file in the file manager and click 'Properties'. Click the 'Permissions' tab and tick the box that says 'Allow executing file as program'.

2. Double click to execute the program

and no you are not a clueless bastard. :)

Maybe try this?

sudo sh <filename>.sh

Obviously after navigating to the file location using:

cd Downloads (or whatever)
