You can check your plan, payments, etc online lol.

I could, if it were my plan, payments, etc. Parents pay for it, their house, I just do their tech support (as bad as that sounds, I still know 100X as much as they do)

You're 25, I'm sure your parents will trust you with their login info.

Meh, they would. But as far as I know from talking to the people over the phone, we have the fastest available where we live (my driveway IS 7/10ths of a mile long.)

Yes but the difference is your opinion of the service that they provide for you and your parents.

You're calling out CenturyLink saying that they provide 1/10 of the service you pay for.

You're on a tech forum and have 4.5k posts, that gives you ethos.

You just said "CenturyLink sucks," and aside from me nobody questioned it. As such anybody who reads that will assume that the members who read that post

 - agree with what you said.

 - or can't comment on the service because they've never had it.

Somebody sees that post, next time they have to pick between 3 horrible ISPs they'll remember that LTT forums unanimously agreed on the fact that CenturyLink is not even worth considering so they don't.

True. I still think that for the price, their service is shit. I used to live in another city where I had verizon (me personally) and I got at minimum, double if not triple the speed for less money each month.

I'm just sick of having relatively slow internet because I live out in the boondocks, and I'd like to be able to get more where I live. Not move into the city so I can deal with all of those headaches.

It was bundled with direct TV, and it was actual 10MBps, not Mbps. Probably 10 dollars less than what we pay for just century link, as well as the fact that we pay separate for direct tv
