How to Enable SLI on Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor - FIXED

SkilledRebuilds

I'm having both cards work at above 90% and the improvement is massive.

It uses the cards very well (no idea why it was not sorted prior to release.... given its such a simple change).

Use NVidia inspector to create a new profile for shadowofmordor.exe (think that was it's name under the games x64 directory) and set the SLi bits to the FEAR3 profile.

With 2x GTX680's I'm now running on high/ultra for most settings at about 60FPS on a 1440p screen."

The F.E.A.R 3 profile works perfectly well for this game.

1)GO to Nvidia Inspector
2) Select Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor
3)Than go to Add application to current profile than brower and select Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor.exe.
4) Last and final select Fear 3 on SLI bits Compatibility bits(Dx1x) and than hit apply.

Will there be another video made for SLI when available to public or will you just stick with this one?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yes undoubtedly, but there are some people who cannot wait, and love to tinker with this stuff, and yet who may not have figured it out yet.

You can wait if you want.

I agree its nice you can fix it right now.  But I have seen people throw a hissy fit because sli doesn't work out of the gate.  The next driver update will give it 10% better performance and sli capabilities.  Its just how Nvidia does things.

Also I have no plans on buying the game.  If I do it will be when its $20 some weekend in December.

Ah crap looks like 2GB Vram video cards doesn't work with this game @ 4K ;-( Also the 100fps frame cap means people can't use their 120Hz monitors.

Well they do, but at Medium right?  <-- I know..whats the point of having a 1080p Ultra Spec 2GB card when Ports like this screw you over.

With a 100fps cap, wouldn't that still be close to perfectly acceptable for 120hz if you can maintain it, compared to 60hz of course, not that I'm saying its acceptable personally.

The R9 285 and GTX 770 got about 65fps average maxed out but with Med Textures @ 1080P

nvidia and AMD screwed up hard core with the smallish 2GB frame buffer on the 770 and 285. I think 3GB is the sweet spot for these cards as they are not mid range cards nor are they ultra high end.

It would have screen tearing. I don't play games personally that have tearing.

With 3-way sli I experience GPU utilisation drops from near 100% to 50% whenever I fight and framrates drop from 80fps to 20-30. Do you experience this too with 2-way sli?

Ditto. I'm facing the same issue with 3 Titans at 3440x1400. Framerates during fights drop to 20-30. Otherwise the game runs as quite well using FEAR 3 bits.
