Hello,

I have a msi Z87 G45 motherboard with the 4670k with a stock cooler, 8gb hyper x, HD 7950 XFX DD.

When I play demanding games, like BF3 on ultra, I get to play the game for 1-2mins then my PC crashes (screen turns black) and the GPU fans and CPU fans make loud noises (like at max) I tired it in the case, out the case, with 2 different PSUs, Thermal take TR2 700 watt, and some cooler master 550 watt 80+ that I have atm.I don't understand this issue... It works fine on games like CS GO and BF3 on low...

Please help, I'm new to PC gaming.

Thanks all!

Check your temps when you launch the game, it sounds like something is overheating big time. Or you have a bad video driver.

Used 14.4 now going to test 14.9.

Just a little out of date  :D

Yeah, try updating the drivers are see if that does it.

EDIT: Also, what version of Windows are you on?

As Enderman suggested you should check in the event viewer and maybe post a screenshot of it.

EDIT: Try COMPLETELY removing the GPU drivers using this utility: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Then try installing 14.9 drivers again.

Is the GPU overclocked? If so place GPU to stock speeds, and set power limit to +20%

Then run Unigine Heaven benchmark

If the GPU can not complete the benchmark twice in a row then RMA the GPU. Tell them exactly at which frame the benchmark crashes at. XFX use that in their own in house testing.

Oh and make sure that both GPU power connectors are using individual cables and not chained together.
