Hey this is my first build and it will be used mostly for gaming and a bit of rendering. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Private_Ceg/saved/nKLwrH. My max budget (for just the compuer itself and OS) is £550 or $890. Do you think I should change anything? Thanks for the help :)

I would probably get a 120 GB SSD.

i would change the motherboard for a 990fx chipset (i personally like the asrock fata1ity 990fx killer),  they are a bit more expensive but overclock much better, as ArunRaj said above, 120gb ssd will be much better, other than that looks nice!

So would it be worth getting a ssd and a r9 270x or no ssd and a or r9 280?

If I were to pick between the two, I'd get the 280 then save the ssd for later.

Sideote: In my country an R9 280 is only 20 USD cheaper than an R9 280x... and the R9 280x has the same price of a GTX 970...
