Is there an actual difference between the ALC1150 and the Soundcore 3D?

The 2 boards which i am considering are the z97x ud3h and the z97 g1 sniper (the sniper being 10 euros more expensive).

I have sort of hard to drive headphones but they were driven fairly well by the alc 889 in the supreme fx iii in my old mobo so i don't think it'll make a big difference.

 

Any advantages to the sound core 3D (no gimmicks pls)?

It's just Creative's attempt at their own surround sound. Not worth anything to me. (Anything named 'Sound core 3D' is inevitably going to be gimmicky, the name has all the buzzwords to be one.)

Side rant:

Why the hell don't mobo vendors publish useful specs of their audio solutions?
