I right now have a r9 270 because thats all i could afford at the time and I knew that I wouldn't be doing much gaming. I would like to buy a gpu in the 250-350$ range. but i don't know wheather to get a amd and run crossfirx or a nivida and take out my 270.

b.t.w my gpuy is a his and runs pretty cool

welcome to the forum follow your thread to get updates  for that much i would reccomend the gtx 780 dcuii as it is 293 $

I would go for the Nvidia side, overlooks like crazy, not a lot of TDP , and very quite. And plus if you do a Mini ITX build or an HTPC you could put your r7 270 in it to make another build.

yea have you seen yhegtx 780 price drops and ti by like 200 bucks

Oh yeah, and it was announced that they cancelled the line of 780ti s, 780, and 770 but not the 760 because they have yet to release the 960. Don't know if you heard that, just a heads up.

LOL I like how we turned this thread into a conversation between us. I'm thinking about getting Evga's ACX Cooler, when they get their act together with their coolers. If you haven't heard the ramping up fans on the 970 SC ACX

i have heard i would almost go refrence but the strix looks really nice along with the windforce

im going with a windforce 970. have to figure out how turn turn off the led bc i have a green build
