How to remove paint from USB?

Go to solution Solved by Jobbe03,

isopropyl alcohol

Hi there,

so a while back my brother and sister were having an argument and long story short a small tub of acrylic paint was thrown. Although it did not hit anyone, it landed straight into my box of computer stuff (spare cables and peripherals). The paint got inside the USB part of a infrared donggle for my wireless keyboard and mouse.

My question is: How can i remove the paint without damaging the USB or dongle? All suggestions are welcome and thank you in advance :)

remove the plastic casing first and then try to remove it with the alcohol, maybe let it soak or use some toilet paper with some alcohol on it
