VPN problems

A friend and i are trying to share network resources on my network. I am doing my best to setup a VPN server on my windows 2008R2 system, however we have ran into some problems.

 

We did the usual assigning of static IP's, port forwarding, and disabling using the VPN server as the default gateway. However while we are still able to connect to the internet, sharing the network resource is still not possible.

 

So:

1: How should it be setup so he can ping my VPN IP?

2: How do i give him access to my LAN?

3: Do we need to modify routing tables?
