Hey guys, So I have an HP Split x2 (it's terrible, I know). Anyways it is a hybrid laptop and tablet; therefore it has 2 batteries, one in the tablet portion and another in the "base". My question is this: Is there any software that exists that would make it possible to force the batteries to run in tandem so the computer would only recognize a single power source? I would prefer not to wire the batteries in line as I dont think it is worth the effort. Thanks for any tips.

short answer, no.. not worth that haste.

each battery runs on different frequencies, voltage, and amperage. By mixing them up, you can seriously mess up your components.

they probably is a safe way of merging two batteries, but I wouldn't bother with it, because you'd have to tweak a bunch of things and personally, I wouldn't mess with it.

Hope it helps, and sorry.

Depends on the batteries if you can do it. I've got a friend that ditched the optical drive in his notebook and installed a massive OEM battery in there, and has them hooked up together, he was able to increase the time the notebook lasts on by a massive amount of time. The upgrade is not for everyone, you need to know a couple of stuff about devices and electricity; I can't imagine your situation being different.
