Hello everyone,

6 months ago, I bought a X-Star DP2710LED from DreamSeller on eBay. After researching and found lots of good reviews so I decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. Upon receiving the monitor, the color was beautiful with only 1 white pixel in the far left center of the screen and no backlight bleed. Fast forward 6 months, my monitor decided to go black and the blue LED started to blink. I tried everything including changing to another Dual Link DVI cable and reinstalling my nVidia drviers still no hope. My PC is detecting the monitor and knows it's a 1440p screen at 120hz. It's just not displaying anything. I am now on the market for a new monitor. Which one would you recommand? I'd really love to have the new LG 21:9 but that thing is so expensive! I can buy triple X-Star DP2710 with that money. Should I purchase the same one and pray that I only got unlucky on the first one? I can't go back to 60hz or 1080p. ):

From factory it's 60hz but I overclocked it to 120hz

Oh I see. Well to be completely honest, do actually notice the difference between 60Hz vs 120Hz?

It's a huge difference when I play fast paced games but on the desktop not so much.

I ask this because for less than $600 you can get some pretty decent well known branded displays. For example, the ever popular ASUS PB278Q and the BenQ GW2765HT. You may not be able to overclock them much but they're gonna be much more reliable those Asian branded monitors.;)

I was looking at the PB278Q but never really looked at BenQ. Which one is better? I mainly use my computer for playing League of Legends, HearthStone, Counter-Strike:GO and lots of programming and a bit of graphics.

Personally, I would say the BenQ, however, given it's popularity with many people (including gamers) I'd say go for the ASUS PB278Q. You can't go wrong with that. It's not hard to find reviews and YouTube videos on it. There's literally thousands on it. :)
