Console form factor case?

Mctavish

Hey guys, I have been looking for a case that was very similar form factor to a xbox/ps4. The closest thing i have been able to find is this case.

Powercool T01B

how ever this case from what I can tell is not available in north america. Is anyone aware of a case out there that is as aesthetically pleasing as this one? I really like the sharp lines and hard corners.

The RVZ-01, ML07 and CSAZ-103 are good, but the CSAZ-103 is my favorite for hardware support.

Gut an xbox :P?

Or one of Lian Li's new cases that they teased. I forget what they were called.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Yes I definitely recommend the Silverstone RVZ01B, great case and in my experience I have used a board that meets the width of an M-ITX motherboard but has 3 expansion slots. You will most likely have a much easier time with it if you install a M-ITX motherboard and a low profile air cooler. Here is a size comparison with an Xbox 360 Slim puu.sh/bPCwN/67022cfd72.png

anyone know how anything much like the Silverstone RVZ01B, but smaller? This is going to be a pretty bare bones pc, think HTPC.

the silver stone style is nice, just seems a little big still for what i am looking for.

EVGA's Hadron is pretty small. Kind off expensive, but for the $200 price tag it comes with a power supply.

For an HTPC, my first choice would be a Fractal Design Node 804. Though if a disc drive is needed, it's not the best choice. Silverstone's SG05 or SG08B would be my choice if I needed a disc drive. Though slim drives are kinda pricey. Cooler Master's Elite 120 is the same form factor, but allows a full size optical drive.

INTEL CORE i5-7600K | ASUS ROG STRIX B250i GAMING | CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT LT 16GB | EVGA GTX 970 SC | EVGA B3 550W
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB | CRYORIG M9i | BE QUIET! PURE WINGS 2| FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE NANO S

Are you going to be installing a graphics card? If not have a look at the Lian Li PC-Q12.

Those Lian Li cases would be perfect if they were closed, I'm not a fan of open designs due to dust build up. So maybe if they release a closed version then thats the case I would use for a steam box.

Does anyone know when the Silverstone FTZ01 will be released? still can't seem to find any dates.

Dust will get in anyway, and such design provides nice airglow which is often an issue with such cases. Trust me, I have experience.

I agree dust will always build up over time but with other slim m-itx cases I use possitive pressure with all intakes filtered so less dust gets in, this would not be an option with open case, also would the open design generate more noise?

RVZ01 has the best internal layout for its size. It is ugly to look at, yes, but otherwise is fantastic.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.

Cases don't generate noise ;) You'll be able to hear fans better, but it rather isn't a problem unless you've got some noisy fans.
