Not so fun fact coming up, it's not even something you want to know but here goes:

A few years back there was a fire in a house not far from here, the little boy made it downstairs to warn the parents, but the two little sisters of around 5 or 8 years old didn't make it down in time, the parents couldn't get up either to get them out.

As the firemen reached the house they found out the window in the bathroom the girls went into was too small to fit someone through.

The screaming from the girls was so intense that the chief fireman decided to turn on the sirens again to muffle the sound, as it was horrific to listen to.

Both girls died, sparked a huge influx of people buying fire-alarms, as in this case they didn't have them installed.

 

Makes me sad everytime I think about it.
