I hope i am posting in the right area. I am getting a AMD FX-8350 i was thinking about geting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler because it seam to be pouplar. I dont plan one doing any over clocking would the stock cooler will fine or should i still get the cooler master? Also i am getting Kingston Hyper X Fury memory. If i do get the Cooler master i am hoping it will clear the ram.

having a 3rd party cooler is always nice as it will cool down the CPU better than the stock although it isnt necessary if you arn't ocing

it will do for now. Tax time i dont get much back i am just trying to keep the price where i will be able to afford it. My laptop is falling apart. I cant even close it its to the point now where it is going to just fall off. After i get the build done i and work on saving and geting better cooling. it that just for now kind of thing. My son ever had a PC before so it will be nice to get him one. My wifes laptop battery will not hold a charge anymore and this is the second battery i got for her. Also my laptop fan only run at like 30% and it over heats and shuts down all the time when i am play anykind of game.

CoolMax isn't a very reputable brand. Most of their products are mediocre quality at best (frick, I see CoolMax PSU's being sold at London Drugs here). The power supply is essentially the backbone of a PC -- I strongly oppose on skimping out on it.

XFX TS Series 550W: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

SeaSonic is the OEM.

You can save a few bucks by going with a FX-8320 instead. It's exactly a FX-8350 chip, but clocked at a lower speed from factory.

I know Tera Online doesn't make use of many cores -- it's not coded to. I don't personally play Tera, but I've got a few friends and relatives who do (and guess who builds their PC / the local IT guy for them?)

Another alternative would be a FX-6300 or FX-6350.

If you are not going to do any high overclocking or running multiple graphics cards, the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P will be more than enough. It uses a 8+2 power phase design similar to the GA-990FX-UD3, so it won't have any issues supporting a 125W FX-8320 / FX-8350.

Computer cases are usually dependent to personal preferences, but damn, $60 for a....so-so case? There are A LOT of competitive alternatives in that price segment. Many are significantly less expensive, too. Just to point out a few to have a look in to:

  • Corsair 230T starts at $44 (after MIR, free shipping)
  • Corsair 300R is $47.99 (after MIR)
  • Cooler Master HAF 912 for $49.99
  • NZXT H230 starts at $49.99

From the money saved, you can invest it on possibly that 27" monitor you wanted...or a few aftermarket Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU coolers. Cooler operation, plus the ability to do some mild overclocking on those motherboards.
