Hello,

I am looking for a fanless cpu cooler for the lga 1150 socket that will fit on the msi b85-g41 in a fractal design define r4 with low profil ram.  Obviously, its not for performance, its for being quiet.  Preferably sub 40$.  I have an i5 4570 so no overclocking anyway.

Thanks

I can help with programming and hardware.

not sure if it will fit in define R4 (should) but.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13C-0007-00002&cm_re=fanless_cpu_cooler-_-13C-0007-00002-_-Product just be careful as they do need at least a little air flow to pull the heat out.. I haven't run fanless in a LONG time..

212 EVO.

Hyper 212 Evo, or just stick to your stock cooler if you don't want to spend money on one or a fanless cpu cooler if you want no noise at all.

I don't recommend fanless coolers. Just get a 212 evo with a Noctua or be quiet fan.

Can I use the hyper 212 evo and just remove the fan?  It seems like a good cooler design and i have 2 140mm intake fans and a 120mm out take fan.

I can help with programming and hardware.

why not just set the bios to auto level the CPU fan so it turns down the speed when its not being pushed? most modern motherboards support this.

Hmmm Fanless coolers need very good airflow from your fans. 2x140mm and only one small 120mm out take fan is not what I would consider especially good airflow.

Turn down the RPM of the cpu.....

Ok, then ill probably just go witha  hyper 212 evo, that should be quiet enough.
