Headset for around $150-$200

I am looking for a new headset that is around $150, but am willing to spend $200 for one. Right now I have a turtle beach X12 that I have used for 3 years, so basically any other headset would be better than this. I will be using it for voice chat and high end gaming, so 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound would be appreciated. Also I would like the headset to last for at least 5 years, so if anyone knows of any, let me know. On a side note, I am looking into getting a headset on cyber monday, so if the price is above $200, then don't sweat it, as the price will most likely drop. Thanks for your help!

I personally prefer a desktop mic + Good quality headphones as opposed to having a mic+Headset combo.

I also use a snowball mic which does its job using Teamspeak and skype. 

 

Edit: The open air design kinda weirds people out at times because you can hear everything if you don't have any sound on while wearing them but once sounds kick in whatever you're listening to the quality is great. If you can go to a store and try them on I'd recommend it

If you're set on a headset, you can pick up the Sennheiser G4me Zeros for a fraction over your budget at the moment, if you don't mind white.

this is a good option, basicly a pair of audiophile headphones with a good mic on it

You don't need surround sound for gaming. Just pick up a pair of high quality headphones. Most headsets won't last 5 years so I'd skip on that.

 

AD700x's are pretty standard for gaming. AKG K612's are also nice but they don't get loud enough without some kind of amp.
