first build, how does this look?

Switch the 1 stick of ram to a 2x4 it will perform better.

Yeah that should be able to pull those frames but honestly I'd just stick it out until tomorrow (AMD Announcement for next gen) and next month (GTX 960 release)

 

Also 2x4GB RAM for dual channel as Feared said.

the 285 is better and doesn't cost much more

Looks good just switch the ram like the people above me said and maybe consider 128gb SSD

Get the r9 285 instead of the 280.
