Basically last week I switched to android and now I cannot get messages from this group chat I am in... ive tried calling apple having my number removed etc... nothing is working. Any ideas?

Have your freinds edit the contact they have you as in there iphone from "iphone" to "phone"

Or another thing to try is if you still have you iphone put your sim back in it, go to settings>messages>turn off imessages

There was a bug that was discovered a little while ago where users who moved from iOS to Android wouldn't be able to receive some messages but I'm not really that sure if they've fixed it or what the status on it is now. But try telling your friends to do what @Snickerzz said, cause that sounds like a good start.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
