Hello guys,

Currently thinking about / trying to sell my 780Ti to replace them with two 970's. Performance per dollar seems really good, especially if i can get a reasonable amount of cash for the old card. Any reasons i shouldnt do it? Gaming / multimedia on 1440p.

Well to be fair, it doesn't have to be a matrix card running in SLI with it. Honestly you'd get better temps on your system with a blower style card anyways.

You can always do what I'm doing and sell your 780ti on eBay for full price and mark it as "like new"... :P

Performance for money is really decided by how much i can sell my card for. Even if we look at full priced new cards, 780Ti sli for 700 or 970 sli for 530. Not sure tbh.

I have been using the card for 2 months, not really sure it qualifies. Also, i spent some time and money to make sure things look good, not going to ruin it with adding a different card.

But you already HAVE your 780ti, and you will lose money selling it, so you are better off buying as second 780ti in the sales

Sli 780tis are more powerful than dual 970s, by quite a margin, so sure its 700 vs 530, but its also 170$ more performance

780ti's go for $450-$500 on /r/hardwareswap every other day. Especially with the 980 coming out, everyone is trying to get rid of their 780ti as fast as they can.

If you want a reference (blower) design (which is what I'd recommend) this guy is selling his for $450.
