The i7 4770k at microcenter is $260  :D

Comparing the CPU's you listed, i5 for gaming and 8350 for major multitasking and possible live streaming.

Don't quote Microcenter prices, not everyone lives near one.

I would go with the 4690 if you're going purely for gaming, but the 8350 isn't a bad choice either.

I suggest you go for the 4690, though if you think you may want to OC it in the future than you should get the K version of the 4690 (4690K).

CPU: Intel i7 8700K | CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x8GB | Motherboard: Asus ROG Z370-E | GPU: MSI GTX 970 | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB & 2TB | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB & 970 EVO M.2 500GB | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X | PSU: Silverstone Platinum Strider 1100W | Monitor: AOC i2367Fh | Headphones: ATH-M40X | Mic: Antlion ModMic 4 | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB w/ MX Browns | Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO

A i5 4690k would be the best choice to choose from at that price range, it's a k version so you can overclock it.

You can get a i5 4690k sub 200 but you would have to live near a microcenter, or go to any computer store and see if they will price match prices at microcenter.

You can still get Microcenter prices if you don't live near one, just go to a computer store that will price match Microcenter prices.

That's if they will.

I love Fry's. I had an unexpected trip there and it "stole" $250 from me. That store is so god damn awesome. (Stole- I bought C70 and H105). And holy shit, where do you live? I know that there's probably more than 1 Fry's that have the same architecture design, but are is that the one in Austin, TX? If you took that picture?

Just searched up the Austin Fry's store and got that picture, things that sucks is their horrible customer service not having certain items for sale(like Noctua products or NZXT cases)

Location is under my profile, i live by the Seattle store, it's the only big retail computer store in my state that sells pc parts, others don't

Ohhh, ok. Yea, I'm dissapointed they didn't have the NZXT Kraken x61, just the x41, so I went with the H105 (Which is great too), no NZXT cases either, bummer. I did see X99. Same, it's the only good Computer store near me, they should build a Microcenter in Austin ;-;
