So soon I am building my first pc. Right now im using an Hp Pavilion dv7 Laptop. Sometimes I fail to play Minecraft at 20Fps on the lowest settings, let alone a First Person Shooter. So, I want to upgrade. My Price limit is a bit over $2000. Also, My router is almost directly below where I will put this pc, so i need a very strong and Reliable wireless adapter. Are these specs good?

U could cheap out on ur motherboard.

Get a Msi z97 gaming 5 would be just fine.

Get A Wd black instead the blue much faster.

And would suggest changing the peripherals would help in a better and comfortable gaming experince.

Ok, but I need a wireless adapter on my Mobo, or a very high quality usb/pci express one, and i think the one on the gaming 9ac is good.

Id get a higher res monitor, like 1440p. Also put money into your periphials, you may be getting 100fps but you wont be comfortable with your mouse and keyboard.

Im planning to upgrade to a 1440p Monitor eventually, and get something high-end, like an Asus ROG Swift.

Honestly this whole build seems like a mismatch to me.  Go back to the drawing board is my suggestion.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Fractal cases look boring, and plain. They look like the person that picked them didn't care, and I just don't like them. They're also overdone, too many people use them. Just my two bits. Now someone will come in and hate on me for my opinion.

The way they look makes me think "that person set newegg or Pcpartpicker to cheapest first, and threw a dart because they didn't care what it looked like".

I Have many more questions:

Should I get the Msi z97 Gaming 5 or the Msi Gaming 7?

What is the best strong, quality wifi adapter i should get?

Will the parts bottleneck and are they compatible? (Assuming i get the msi gaming 5 or the 7)

-Thanks

Nope, no need for that.

Both will last for longer than you'll be using and the issues with the Evo are not that dramatic to make you pay for the premium to get the Pro - IMO.

I think the difference is way bigger, lemme check:

Samsung 840 EVO | Samsung 840 Pro

   120 GB - $85       |     128 GB - $104

   250 GB - $130     |     256 GB - $180

   500 GB - $240     |     512 GB - $310

The difference isn't huge but if saving here allows you to spend more with CPU/GPU/Monitor or more storage space, then it's not worth it IMO.

I'd say the pro since they're supposed to be faster and what not, but the also aren't having issues to my knowledge. I have one for my $800-$1000 build

Ditch the Samsung 840 pro and get the Crucial MX100 256GB for $109

I wouldn't bother with a WD Black. Just go with a WD Blue.

Well, which one would be the best for a $2000-$2200 gaming build?

You won't even be able to tell the difference between speeds, unless you're doing really heavy stuff that any gains in speed are worth your buck. You should consider how much space you want/need and how much you want to spend with your SSD. I, from personal experience, can't live with only 120GB of SSD so I would always get 250GB or more. Regarding the brand/model, I would get the 840 EVO because of Samsung's software but...

^this is also a great option. Crucial make some great SSDs and are usually cheaper than Samsung's.

Either way, my advice would be to get at least 250GB and do not bother with the Pro version.

EDIT: Just read this and now I'm a little bit frustrated. Go for Crucial I would say right now. I believe, as pcper said, this will be fixed (hopefully soon) by Samsung because it doesn't look like the NAND is bad, it's something else like a bug, maybe even fixed by a firmware update. If there isn't a fix by the time I buy my SSD, I'll be getting MX100 or 840 Pro, depending on prices.

I don't think you need a better Mobo, that one is great. Hell, if I were on a budget, I'd get something cheaper like the Asus Z97-A just because it's good enough and has all features I could ever need.

As for the case, I always tell people to get either the Enthoo Pro if you want something simple and cheap or the Enthoo Luxe if they want something fancy and not that cheap - both hold great quality. People are also saying the NZXT s340 is great but I'm not a huge fan of the design. I'm sure the Luxe/Pro will fit your GPU, not sure about the s340, gotta look it up!

firstly u could get same performance with asus z97-a or gigabyte z97x ud3h, plz don't buy anything b'coz it looks beautiful. trust me u will admire looks for at most a week .

enthoo pro is nice big good airflow case

the monitor is not ips ,u would be sacrificing picture quality for frame rate, most of the people are not really bothered by differnce between 60 hz and 144hz ,its ur choice, just don't buy it b'coz the box says gaming monitor

i would recommend 1440p 60hz ips monitor

if u could squeeze in kingston hyperx cloud gaming headset   do it  i have heard only good things about it
