I'm building a computer soon and i need to pick the parts i will be using but i cant pick. Can you help me pick a motherboard, CPU and GPU. The computer will be used for Gaming and Game Programming. I would like to have a total price of these components at a maximum of £550 ($900~). I would also like these to stay in-date for a year at least.

Thanks that's perfect! One question is the CPU a good overclocker?

Thanks that's perfect! One question is the CPU a good overclocker?

it is as good as it gets for intel haswell 4th gen CPU's, yes.

Chances are you get a good one that can do 4.5ghz or more with 1.3v or less...

you could also get a potato that won't hold 4.2ghz at 1.3v but this is less likely.

You need a good aftermarket CPu cooler for overclocking.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |

No problem. That really depends on your luck. Every chip is unique. There is prety big chance that you will get average chip which you will be able to get to around 4.4GHz-4.5GHz if you have decent cooler.
