Difference between VX239H and MX239H? ($175 IPS Displays?)

Guilty Baby

What's the difference between the two? Aren't they essentially the same monitor? By the way, do you guys have any suggestions for some around $175 IPS displays with good colors and okay latency?

Please quote if you want a person to reply, they won't get a notification otherwise.

I cant say whats better, but it depends on your use case, personally if you wanna save some money get the VX239H, its practically the same apart from MHL support on the VX-239H but no DVI support unlike the MX-239H, and Black on VX-239H or White on MX-239H

One big difference that is evident, if you look at the specifications, is the fact that ASUS has removed their Trace Free Technology from the VX239H completely, which means you can't adjust the pixel overdrive of the display. This means that videos may play back with a stutter and not smooth, like they would normally, and games have the potential to playback with stutter no matter how powerful your PC is if the pixel overdrive is not implemented well.

Also, it appears that the VX239H doesn't have the commonly used DVI port. So you can easily see where ASUS has cut corners to make the VX239H cheaper.

So with that all said, you can probably guess which one I'm going to recommend, yes, I would highly recommend that you go with the ASUS MX239H. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
