Small build for a dorm

Hello Everyone,

I am getting my shit together before college, and by that I mean builing a new computer.

I have all the parts except for a case and MOBO picked out:

Intel Core i5-4690K
Corsair H55
*Mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX Video Card
*Case
Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Like I said, It will be for a dorm, meaning small. Micro ATX/ Mni ITX.

Reasons / experience withe the case would be great

Thanks!!!

EDIT

I have decided to go with Micro ATX! My current front runner is the fractl design mini r2. My only concern is that it is still pretty big. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on it? Also suggestions on other, smaller, mATX are appreciated

Thoughts on the corsair 350d?

you asked for a small build, the 350D is similar size of ATX mid tower size.

mATX would consider the fractal design arc mini r2 which is drastically smaller

in footprint and holds as much or more over the 350D.

since you are considering the i5-k, any of the channel boards will perform just

fine, all you need to decide is what connectivity you actually need.

Are you planning to SLI at all? if so you'll have to go for micro ATX.

If you're looking for a smaller mATX case than the arc mini, then the silverstone ps07 will do no wrong. It's very small, and the only "issues" with it are the PSU length being limited, but an RM 650 should fit in it, and the cable management isn't as good as the arc.
