Definitely not pay2win. You can't unlock class upgrades with money anyway (as far as I know). You have to unlock them with cert. points, which are earned while playing, pretty much like XP points.

The only things you can "buy" are weapons and camos, etc.

I didn't feel the need to learn anything special when I started. There are so many people anyway, you can dick around as much as you want it won't bother anybody. Feel free to test everything. And when you feel ready, jump into action. See what you're most useful at, and what's the best way for you to contribute to the collective actions.

It's not pay to win, but you can definitely buy power. While some weapons/certs are side-grades, a lot of them are straight-up upgrades. It won't often make enough of a difference to change the result of a firefight, but you'll occasionally notice the disparity.

Which of the 3 teams would anyone suggest I join?

TR, It's the most fun to play. Besides, we need to counteract the 4th faction!

BTW, 4th Faction is the group of people who play on the most overpowered team available at the time.

I've already started a character on the blue and yellow team (I forget the name).

I know this is some what off topic but does anyone else barely 60FPS while playing? My specs are decent but it's beating my GPU pretty hard.

Yeah, I play on medium and I get up to 80 FPS but as low as 25 FPS in big battles with 100's of people near me

Turn OFF shadows, flora....set render quality in useroptions.ini to 1.41, and well as setting textures to ultra. This game is very unoptimized and normally uses one core, so you need to dump as much work to your GPU as possible. Sounds crazy, but I get solid 60 frames on ultra with shadows/flora off and only 20 on low during big battles, lol. Also, set render distance to 1500-2000. Hope these changes help!
