@dizmo I know he have alot of money :P But I'm against spending money on stuff that dont contributed much :P So even if you give me like 1mil$ I'd probably stick with a ~ 3000USD PC at most :P

And if he dont use that CPU anymore then why keep the X99 board? And yeah, forgot that it's 1440p LOL

For the 40 PCIE lanes...

I'd go with a better power supply. The RM series isn't really that good.

you tried? and what you are saying makes SSDs useless for everything.. like hey my computer starts faster, so you still have to wait for the games or browser to load. and so on...

cutting loading times in half or usually less is an amazing upgrade for TONS of games

I have an SSD too you know~ (Who dont these day?) And did I ever said that SSD is useless? All I say is that games dont benefit much from SSD to justify the cost, other stuff like Photoshop for example I will recommend to use SSD instead of HDD, but for games, not much. I know that's there's games out there that can benefit from running on SSD compare to HDD, BF4 is 1 example, but usually only in Single Player mode of those game, and for lots of game the time it save is about 5-10 seconds. And like I said, I still keep a 1TB SSD in the build up here so he can install some games that actually benefited from running on SSD

@dizmo Agree, I kinda go with Corsair's stuff as a default choice so I dont pay much attentions to the PSU other than the W

I will in the near future as I said, not immediately. Dear santa builds are a bit different.

its an $8k build, for crying out loud... how much more "dear santa" does it get? People usually only build these types of rigs for professional uses, as a returning investment. But as a gaming rig, this makes little to no sense at all. 2011 has never been a gaming-platform and dual 980s won't cut it across 3 144Hz 1440p monitors anyways. RAID 0 SSDs will also not return a huge benefit in gaming, especially not if you consider the $1350 price tag.  If I had that type of money to spend, frankly I'd buy a new car or bike, but certainly not a gaming rig.

IF you had read the posts until now you would have seen that I said I would also be using it for programming and video editing on cs6. So it's not just for gaming.

Well according to your profile you are 17, so I'm assuming you're not doing it professionally, hence no retuning investment. Look, I'm not trying to attack you personally, its just that 99% of these $5k+ build threads posted here are people putting together their dream builds and mentally masturbating over them, without actually intending to buy and build anything. In other words, these threads are usually a huge waste of time. If you actually intend to build this rig, go for it man. I'm just saying that it might not be the best idea to spend $8000 on a PC that you do not intend to use as a professional workstation, when you are 17. Unless of course you are incredibly rich and $8k is no big deal for you.
