help with loading steam games

I keep getting a directx has ecountered an unrecoverable error, message when i try to open a game. I have dirextx 11 which is what i need i guess, and exceed system requirments. HELP!!!

i have a 3.8gh quad core processor, asus 7860 card, 250 ssd, 1tb hdd

and its all my games but counterstrike

if you're using windows 8.1 then you need to restart your computer and let it install updates. if you're using windows 7 then you can download it in the link

Have you tried to Verifiy the integrity of Game Cache? (Right click game in steam, properties, local files, verify the integrity of game cache) it usualy helps me with 90% of the error I get from steam.

i tried and it says i have the latest version and it quits out

usually thats a vidcard driver problem.., did you try to do a integrity check for the games? completely uninstalling and reinstalling ur vidcard drivers (displaydriveruninstaller (DDU) works great gettable at www.guru3d.com) might work, you could also check the installfolders for files called vcredist, dxsetup and installing those.. (latest version can be obtained on the microsoft sites.., microsoft.com, msdn.com))
