First time overclocking my gpu and wanted to get peoples opinions on my settings.  I am using evga precisionx.

graphics card: gtx 780 ftw with acx cooling

power target: 103%

gpu temp target: 86C (set as priority)

gpu clock offset: +98 MHz

Memory Clock Offset: +195 MHz

Fan curve is set to automatic

Basically wondering if this seems like a safe overclock and what other people have been using for their overclock settings.

I agree with the mem clock being higher. tho id keep the temp below 80 for my personal stuff .. 86 is not that bad tho

Overclocking is a pretty personal thing according to me.

If i were you i would play around with the overclocks until you are happy with it.

A good rule of thumb...push it until your uncomfortable with the temps....i recommend 80 or under

yeah i made sure its stable tested it in heavens and 3dmark

You could probably go up to +250 on the memory pretty easily, maybe higher. But +250 is a good start. Also realize in games, even if it is stable in 3DMark and Heaven you are probably going to have to back down the core to be game stable.

awesome thanks. ive got the core clock up 100 and memory up 275. after runing heavens 4.0 for about 20-30 min the temp maxed out at 75c. using kombuster burn in extreme it maxed out at 74c. il probably stick to these settings dont want to raise the temerature to much higher than that

Higher temp more performance.

not nessesarly. if you ever had a electricity science class. you would know that heat is bad for electronics and reduces the lifetime and performance past a certain point.
