Cleaning my IMac...

I have a question about my second pc its a mac and i hope some people know a little bit about this theme cause my problem is that i want to clean my mac but i dont know whats the best way to clean it and keep an important programm the programm is microsoft office with all the applications (excel,outlook .... ) its the mac edition obviously ... I want to delete evrything except office

I really hope that somone can answer my question and im not sure i dont think this is the right forum to post mac problems ... or? (When not im sorry .... But the answer is badly needed ... )

copy down the version and license key for office then reinstall osx and office and reactivate with the same key
