Which 970/980 cooler?

Which cooler do you guys prefer and why? Im personally leaning towards the twin frozr v just for the aesthetics.

I am wondering the same thing. I am going to pull the trigger and buy a 970 but im not sure which one to get. I am leaning towards the MSI twin frozer as well. Matches my theme and is clocked high.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

I like the Asus STRIX GTX 970 the best because it turns off under 60% load and come C/W sexy backplate for a decent price.

Don't all 970s come with a backplate? I was considering the strix too, but I'm concerned about the higher tdp rating. I saw somewhere that Asus is rating it at around 220w.

No just reference and select aftermarket cards like the STRIX have backplates. The on on the STRIX is sexier than the plastic reference one though. Don't worry about the TDP it's already very low to begin with. It is a low power consumption card and doesn't kick out much heat. The STRIX is the best because it is the lowest noise output and is partially passively cooled and has the second highest OC out of the box. Plus sexy ass back plate.
