i have no idea what to make of this, it looks kinda like and all in one liquid cooler with the pump mounted on the rad but i could be totally wrong.

any speculation?

Water cooling for the Prodigy is here!

I think its a form factor, all in one liquid cooling unit. So the fan, pump, reservoir, radiator is all compact at the CPU. Just like a air-cooler.

Nice!

Looks cool, but do we really need to watercool fans?? It actually looks like the fan is cooling itself in some kind of weird way...

It might have insane RPM or something?

This could be it! But why not just use heatpipes?

Im probably one of the few that use Antec AIO CPU liquid cooler, and this thing is already 1yr+ old and probably more from its actual release date, so i was quite curious when these guys were going to release an update. Its a solid product and i really love it, Antec has been real nice with me and sending me bracket updates completely free, so i hope they can start pumping out new editions as much as Corsair does.

Ya, just an all in one.

Looks to me like the fan is recessed in to the rad housing a bit. Probably a static pressure thing.

I'm guessing this won't be very interesting. unless they're doing something crazy like using the fan motor as the pump some how.

we shall see.

Edit.

Actually I think I might not be wrong on this, I think they're using a joint fan and pump motor, bigger, probably more reliable and quiet, also  would let them use either a smaller or higher quality CPU water block.

That's my money.

Joint FAN and pump motor all in one liquid cooler.

Probably a water cooler, just an annoying picture of it because companies love to "tease" things prior to release.

Maybe a low profile AIO liquid cooler for small form factor builds.

That's an awesome idea, I'll have to see how it performs though. It seems like they're using larger motors to make up for the added stress so hopefully it should run cool and quiet. Let's hope the fans are quiet since you can't change them...

you can easily fit any of the prebuilt liquid coolers in a Prodigy with room to spare. If you use one of the 120mm versions you don't even have to remove the optical bay or any of the drive cages.

I think that is a Rad, Fan, and Pump.
Wait,
Are they making the pump and fan run on the same motor!? o.0

As far as I can see, they're just mounted within the same general location.

No. They're just mounted within the same general location.

It actually seems that the fan and pump share the same motor.

I'm not sure I like not being able to swap out the fans.

Interesting. Yeah. This might be their downfall towards people that like to change the fans. Though the market may be for people who just want to set it and go.

I think from a budget AIO WC loop its genius!

How many people are actually going to replace stock fans that come with these things?
And the few that do simply dont get an Antec.

But I think Antec realizes that percentage is relatively small.
