help liquid cooling GPU

Go to solution Solved by xToFxREAPER,

"I spent ages trying to work this out before I bought this card as I wanted to know if it worked with a universal block, and i can confirm that it definitely works with Swiftech's MCW82 and most likely any other universal block which works on the 6xxx and 7xxx series." this is your best bet, i did a bit of googling for you and ended up just asking a friend on overclock.net what he is using on his :)

I am new to the forum, and I want to install a custom loop in my Fractal Define mini, the question I have, is that my GPU is kind of an oddball. It is a AMD PowerColor 7870xt myst edition. I dont know which water block to buy, considering this card is more like a 7930, than a 7870. (Thanks for messing up the numbering AMD, kickass card though) If anyone can just point me in the right direction. Should I buy a block for a 7870, or one for a 7950? Or even if somebody could post a link.  Thanks

If you go on coolingconfigurator.com it will list all graphics cards that have water blocks available.

As you have a "special edition" card I doubt there will be one for your card but it's still worth checking.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

I have looked, and there is a GPU block that exists that will fit, but it only covers the core itself. There is not a full cover block. That might be what I have to live with, not the best option. I cant find any post on any forum about anyone trying to get a water block on that card. There are identical cards made by Sapphire, and Club 3D.
