is the crucial m500 240gb a good ssd drive for a kinda value optimized build?

Hi, yes it is but get Crucial MX100 if you can (I believe it is the same price if not even cheaper).

TY will take that one is a few euro's cheaper

The MX100 is its replacement. Once the current drives are gone there won't be more.
