Motherboard/GPU Question?

If I use this mother board for SLI and I use the very bottom PCIe slot for the second GPU, how much performance is lost than if I used the one above it? So the 2nd GPU is going to have to go in the PCIe x16 (PCIEX4) slot if the Fist GPU is in the PCIe (PCIEX16) and the Capture Card is in the PCIe (PCIEX8). So, that's bad, isn't it?

Only using one 780 but I want to upgrade.

a 780 will be significantly chocked by a 4x speed slot, i wouldn't do that.

It is, but it'll be blocked too. The 780's take up 2 slots each.

I think you have to use the very top and very bottom slots. I have that motherboard in my system right now.

 

Edit: Side note, the LED path lighting looks really nice. I like this board.
