As the title says, the case is NZXT H440. I'm worried about airflow if I use a non-reference cooler, since it will blow heat to the CPU, wouldn't that add additional temps to the CPU? So what do you think guys? I'm planning to get a GTX 780, could you suggest me a brand if you prefer non-reference?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd suggest EVGA for both reference and non-reference.

If you plan to SLI: Reference cooler

If you do not plan to SLI: Non-reference cooler (Gigabyte windforce and EVGA ACX stand out)

Evga and Asus Direct CUII seem to be the better ones. Personally I think the evga acx is the best bet. If the new cards come out and you decide you do want a 900 series card then you can use the evga step up program to swap gpu's and just pay the difference if there is any.

I always recommend Gigabyte. I have never had any issues with it and it looks nice without being flashy. Only heard good things about EVGA as well.

So much votes on the non-reference  :o

@ZeferiniX

I wouldnt worry to much about the heat either, what are going to cool the CPU with?

Well my fan setup is like this:

3 120mm intake fans front

2 140mm exhaust fans top w/ NZXT Kraken X60/61

1 140mm exhaust rear

I'm worried about the CPU temps because the non-reference coolers might blow too much heat inside the case or probably towards the CPU and I'm getting the i7-4790k which is well known for high temps even at stock speed.

Edit:

I just noticed this thread got moved, sorry for posting in the wrong section xD

I have a Gigabyte 770 non reference and a cm hyper 212 evo cooling my 4790k in a NZXT Phantom 410 and my temps are fine. Max temp my cpu got to was 70c but that's because it's about 100f where I live right now(Southern California).

I would say you're fine

The only non-reference card I've tried (MSI gtx 560 Ti, with twin frozr II) runs really hot and ridiculously loud.  So loud, I'm wondering if there is something wrong with it.  Playing games, I have to use headphones because the fans spin so fast (4300 rpm)

I would say if airflow is not excellent in your case, get the reference design with exhaust.
