Looking for some guidance...

I've been out of the PC scene for years now decided to get back into it and build a new rig.

I've chosen the following:

i5 4460 LGA1150

Asus H81M Mobo

Gskill Ripjaws 8GB 2400MHZ

Sapphire R9 270X 4GB

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD

Corsair builder series CXM 750W modular 80plus bronze

Wondering if anyone has any alterations or adjustments feel free to tell me. My budget is around £600 - £700

This rig will basically be for Elder scrolls online, League of Legends among a few other games.

Ryzen 9 7900X

Asrock X670E PG Lightning

32GB G.Skill 6000mhz DDR5

1TB Samsung 990 Pro

Rdna 2 iGPU

PSU is overkill (550W will be sufficient), you can easily swap 2400 MHz RAM for 1600-2133 (yeah, timings aside, 2400 is better but there is no reason to use them in a 700-pound build unless you really really need that fast RAM for some tasks). Also, I don't see a CPU cooler and the case on the list.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

CXM sucks (never bronze)

I would rather RM750 it save you on electrical bill or Evga 750G2

if you only going game I would go with 1866mhz but if you going do editting than go with 2400mhz

I will only be gaming on this machine so i'll look at getting either 1866 - 2133mhz RAM

Ill have a look at those Power supplies :)

1866MHZ is the sweet spot for gaming if you end up with 2400mhz you might and probably will loosing FPS

Like example you might get 70fps in 1 game with 1866mhz if you go with 2400mhz you might get 60fps

never understand why but having more FPS is a good thing that's why you see a lot games uses 1866mhz

I would go with Corsair H80i or Corsair H100i

I never like those things and I find these a better choice of cooling and plus it make your case look cleaner since you have a window case

But this is just me. it's up you this is way I go plus it look more clean if I would have a window case

Lower the PSU to 600 watts.

Cpu cooler could turn out usefull.

250gb enough? maybe go for a HHD/SDD combination?

At the moment I wont be storing anything on the SSD except windows and a couple games, about a month or 2 and i'll be adding another SSD probably 500GB

Trust me dude the pentium anniversary edition can achieve insane over clocks it's well worth the price

Hmmm... I'm a hard one to convince :D

HyperThreading? worth getting a chip with it for gaming ? or useless unless encoding etc

The 9590 is a beast, but it's been shown quite a few times that single threaded performance is what counts for gaming, and a Haswell i5 like the 4690k would be just as strong if not better due to single core performance favouring the Haswell chips over the Vishera AMD chips. Adding in the fact that the AM3+ platform is ageing and the newer LGA1150 boards with Z97 chipsets have more modern features such as PCIe 3.0, I'd struggle to recommend a performance AMD like this. Not to mention that you could save a ton of money just by using an different processor because the H100i would no longer be a necessary component for operation!
