Black Ops 2 wont launch?

Im not sure if this is the Right spot for this post, but this is my first time using the forums since it got overhauled haha.

 

my Black ops 2 (through steam) wont launch, I have multiplayer, single player, and zombies all installed on my SSD and I have check the Integrate of the game cache. but when ever I click on the game to start it my main monitor goes black and I just get a spinning Loading circle (the little blue spinner orb thing) and even if I let it "load" for 10 minutes nothing happens, so I have to Ctrl+alt+delete to get task manager and if I end black ops as a task it just re opens,, so I have to end steam.

 

Any Ideas?

Any AV running? It could be interfering. You could either stop your AV whenever you play it, or add a real time scan exemption.

I only have MSS running as an AV do you think that would do it?

I closed it im gonna try launching with it not running

 

 

Nope :/ still just goes to a black screen with a loading cursor.

I had this problem with ARMA 2. I had to re-install the game, but after that it worked

I can't really think of anything. You can try running the .exe file from the installation folder.

And what OS are you using?

Also, might it be I need to update my motherboard? I havent updated it that im aware of since I built my rig a few months ago.

 

and if so, How do I go about doing that the right way?

Updating your BIOS isn't likely going to fix anything. Maybe trying to re-install it.
