Most of my drives are about 35-40 (All 15 are working hard), and I would say that everything above 50 is critical. 41 is a bit on the high side, for desktop drives I personally like to see around 30-35.

Temperature cycling is a much bigger killer of hard drives as it wears out mechanical parts faster. Most of these drives were probably run in servers in data centres, so they run at near constant temps. This is part of the reason google run their data centres hotter, since it doesn't affect hardware that adversely
