Help with watercooling

Go to solution Solved by Ghost,

You've been amazing Ghost. Thank you for all you help. I'm now a bit more confident on what I am doing.

Good luck!

O.k that's fixed. I had to add another 1/3 to 1/4 extender.

Also another question.

As you provided me with a alternative route.

You see where I have highlighted with a purple box. Wouldn't the tube be going over the graphics cards? How would this look good/bad.

Last thing what is your opinion on colored coolant?  Red coolant would be good, but if it's going to clog up I'll change to colored tubing.

  • Why do you need a 1/3 to 1/4 extender? That's for the thread the fitting screws into. G1/4 is the industry standard.
  • It would look okay. It would look better then the tube coming out of the grommet. Ideally you would water-cool the GPU at a later date.

Sorry, missed that part.

As far as I know dyes do not cause any kind of clogging. If you think about it; you put about 10 drops of dye into your loop. How could that create enough solid particles to block something?

People mistake "dye-coloured" particles which have simply been stained by the dye in the loop for actual dye.

The only downside of dyes is that some parts can get stained by it but you can always flush them out with water to clean them after.

Would this apply to the already dyed bottle coolant?
